Commercial
The lifeblood of any retailer is the products and services it offers to customers. The role of B&Q's Commercial team is to make sure we're always giving customers more reasons to shop with us.
- The four core Buying groups are made up of individual Categories, each of which acts as a virtual business in its own right. These are led by a Category Manager, supported by a dedicated buying team, as well as planners, strategic sourcing managers, Quality Assurance and other functions within the business. Each Category team is ultimately responsible for the customer's experience of its products and services in store. The team's job is to co-ordinate every element that contributes to that experience: from buying and supply to display and promotion.

- The Merchandising team is responsible for the way products are laid out and presented in store - a critical factor in the success of any retailer. It starts with understanding how customers like to shop for different projects, then using this to design practical, visually impactful displays. The aim is to make it easy and enjoyable for customers to find what they want.
